September Hope Whispers

God Is With Us No Matter What

“Be strong and courageous.
Do not be afraid or terrified because of them,
for the LORD your God goes with you;
He will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Deuteronomy 31:6

a second time and touched him and said,
“Get up and eat,
for the journey is too much for you.”

🦋 Is Life’s Journey Too Great For You?
“Have you ever felt so tired of life’s journey that you wish God would just take you to Himself? So battle-worn from fighting against Satan’s persistent lies crushing you down to despair? So heart heavy with the mess this world is in and how God and love and compassion are often shoved aside?” Read More…

Hope Quotes

“He’s with us in the big and the small, leaving His fingerprints on every page of the story, forever reminding us: Remember My goodness here. Look around. Do you see Me? I’ll hang the clouds in the sky and fling stars into the velvet night all so that you remember in both daylight and darkness, I’m with you always.” ~ Kaitlyn Bouchillon

“Your struggles and tears will NEVER be wasted but will be transformed into a healing balm after your victory, release and manifestation comes. You’ve won already. Hold on just a little while longer. Everything will be alright. We serve a God whose Name is FAITHFUL.” ~ Theresa Pecku-Laryea

“To go to heaven, fully to enjoy God, is infinitely better than the most pleasant accommodations here.” ~ Jonathan Edwards

“In the absence of any other proof, the thumb alone would convince me of God’s existence.” ~ Sir Isaac Newton

Nature Retreat

“There are increased benefits of spending more time in nature and leaving technology behind such as improved short term memory, enhanced working memory, better problem solving, greater creativity, lower levels of stress and higher feelings of positive well being.”
David Strayer, Dept of Psychology, University of Utah

Last but not least…

I love this pic! Thanks to one of our sons for sending this one. Our granddaughter was delighted to find this fat frog in their yard. 🙂 Kamryn is our youngest grandchild of 15 (18 including 3 more through marriage), and we have 8 great-grandchildren younger than her. And we have two more grandkids getting married in October and November of this year. 🙂 How time flies!

  1. Kamryn is such a beauty, Trudy! God has certainly blessed you with so many grandchildren; I do wish I had more, but am so grateful for the three wonderful girls I have.
Thanks to brother John for such uplifting and awe-inspiring photos, too. Yes, I think I found the deer, but couldn’t be sure. This had a great “find Waldo” feel about it. 🙂
Hope you are doing better than best, my friend.
    Blessings!

    • Thank you for all your kind words, Martha. You have three beautiful granddaughters, and they’re blessed to have you. Sometimes the more grandkids there are, the harder it is to give each one individual attention. I worry too much about that. It’s my passion to make each one know how special they are. 🙂 That deer was hard to find! 🙂 Blessings to you, too, my friend! May God fill us with His hope as an anchor for our souls!

    • Thank you, Lisa. Each grandchild is so unique and special as you well experience yourself, right? That quote is so comforting, isn’t it? May we cling to our unchangeable God who is ever FAITHFUL!

  2. Oh Trudy thank you for this beautiful gathering of hope for September! One of my lifelong desires is to see a hymmingbird’s nest, so your brother’s photo is such a gift. And your sweet granddaughter is such a treasure! I pray that you will have precious times with your family this fall and winter as you settle into your new home. May God bless you with lasting strength, after your long summer! Love and blessings for you!

    • Thank you so much, Bettie. I appreciate your prayers so much. I’m so glad you found hope here. Each grandchild is such a treasure, but I couldn’t resist showing that pic of Kamryn with the frog. Not every child would dare to pick one up. 🙂 But each one has his/her own gifts, right? Love and blessings to you, too! May we cling to the Anchor of HOPE we have in JESUS!

    • I’m so glad you found encouragement here, Lynn. Yes, isn’t that cicada awesome? They’re different than the ones here that can be heard in the trees but are hard to find. It’s so amazing how many species there are of different kinds of insects. May we be always aware of God’s beauty and goodness in His creation!

  3. I love the quotes and the pictures, Trudy! (Even the tarantula, though it makes me shudder just a tiny bit!) I’m especially impressed by that hummingbird in its nest. And your granddaughter with the frog … so sweet! I hope you have a wonderful week, dear friend!

    • Thank you, Lois. Yes, that hummingbird in its nest is quite impressive. It’s hard to imagine its nest is only about the size of a ping pong ball! I hope you keep seeing hummingbirds in your garden for a while yet and they return next year. 🙂 I hope you have a wonderful week, too, my friend! May we continually be awed by our Amazing Creator and His art work!

  6. Trudy, for years, I have thought of and looked for God’s fingerprints on my life. I so resonate with Kaitlyn Bouchillon’s quote. And you KNOW I love all those amazing photos. Your grand girl looks like a real gem. Thank you for sharing hope and beauty on your site, my friend! Sending you love and hugs!
