“The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quite alone with the heavens, nature and God. Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be and that God wishes to see people happy, amidst the simple beauty of nature. As longs as this exists, and it certainly always will, I know that then there will always be comfort for every sorrow, whatever the circumstances may be. And I firmly believe that nature brings solace in all troubles.” – Anne Frank, The Diary of a Young Girl

“Some people, in order to discover God, read books. But there is a great book: the very appearance of created things. Look above you! Look below you! Read it. God, whom you want to discover, never wrote that book with ink. Instead He set before your eyes the things that He had made. Can you ask for a louder voice than that?” – St. Augustine

God’s Paintings and Intricate Designs
My son caught this glorious display. “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.” (Psalm 19:1)
From a dull-looking cocoon to this beauty! “From Zion, perfect in beauty, God shines forth.” (Psalm 50:2)
Because God equips birds with amazing insulation, this little guy braved an April ice and snow storm. “Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care.” (Matthew 10:29)
Ken from Florida gave me permission to share this. What a majestic creature! “But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired.” (Isaiah 40:31 AMP)
My brother’s camera captured this stunning creature. “Then will the lame leap like a deer, and the mute tongue shout for joy.” (Isaiah 35:6)
A photo can never portray the powerful force of water rushing over and around these rocks. (Sioux Falls, SD) “Your path led through the sea, Your way through the mighty waters, though your footprints were not seen.” (Psalm 77:19)
It takes two million flowers before a honey bee has enough pollen to produce one pound of honey! Always busy drinking in sweetness… “How sweet are Your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!” (Psalm 119:103)
“But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you; or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish in the sea inform you. Which of all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this? In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind.” (Job 12:7-10)
“In His hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind.” (Job 12:10)
“And since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.” (Hebrews 10:21-22)
“Later that night, the boat was in the middle of the lake, and He (Jesus) was alone on land. He saw the disciples straining at the oars, because the wind was against them. Shortly before dawn He went out to them, walking on the lake. He was about to pass by them, but when they saw Him walking on the lake, they thought He was a ghost. They cried out, because they all saw Him and were terrified. Immediately He spoke to them and said, “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.” Then he climbed into the boat with them, and the wind died down.” (Mark 6:47-51)
“Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.” (Isaiah 1:18)
“It doesn’t matter if you’re born in a duck yard, so long as you are hatched from a swan’s egg!” ― Hans Christian Andersen, The Ugly Duckling
“In order to see birds it is necessary to become a part of the silence.” ― Robert Lynd
Some studies have shown that ducklings hear their mother’s voice before hatching and will follow her call after hatching.
