Wishing You a Wonderful Summer

“It’s a GOD-thing.” I’ve been thinking and saying that a lot lately as God has worked in wondrous ways in opening the way for us to sell our home in a condo association and buy a twin home.

During an anxiety-ridden week filled with surprises, decisions, and suspense, I read the following post and God calmed my heart to remember that even if He said “no,” it would still be a GOD-thing because He has loving reasons for everything. His heart beats just as strongly with love for us through those “no” stories.

“We all have “no” stories: times when hopes flew and prayers pleaded,
but God said “no.” And in those times, it can be tempting
to doubt God’s heart and to question His love.
But Lamentations 3:33 assures us,
‘… [God] does not willingly bring affliction or grief to anyone.’”

When Jesus Cries With You

I probably will not be returning to blogging for the rest of this summer. I’m not certain when, but know you will remain in my heart and prayers. I pray God will fill your hearts with the SONshine of His love this summer and always!

“For His unfailing love for us is powerful;
the Lord’s faithfulness endures forever.
Praise the Lord!”

Psalm 117:2

Yes, an inconvenience, but this new link should work.

    • Thank you, Martha. I did sign up on your new subscription thing. I’m not certain how often I can read posts with all the busyness of packing and moving, but I do hope and pray your mom improves and that you have a blessed summer, too! Love and hugs to you!

  2. Oh Trudy, what a “God-thing” for sure! I am so happy that God is opening that way for you. He has made that way open for us as well, selling our home and moving in just a few weeks to our daughter’s home. I pray that He will give you His strength and grace this summer as you go through the whole process. May He bless you with every help that you need. And I look forward to your returning in the fall with testimonies and stories of how He carried you! Love and hugs and blessings to you, dear friend!

  3. Congrats on the home sale and purchase, Trudy. Randy and I have many GOD-thing stories related to home sales too … isn’t it comforting to know that He cares about the details of such things in our lives? And yes, those “no’s” are hard to take sometimes but even they can be gifts from our loving Heavenly Father. I’ll be praying for you to have a restful summer, my friend.

  4. I always miss you when you’re not posting, Trudy, but you are not forgotten … not one little bit. I’ll be lifting you up in prayer as God brings you to mind.

And yes, I hear you about the anxiety in house selling and buying. May every detail work out and give you a great sense that if God wants something for you, He will do what it takes to provide it.

    Hugs.

  6. How exciting for you, Trudy, and so appreciate how you share God’s working in your life! I opened my bible to Lamentations 3:33 because of your words here. God is always molding and shaping us, isn’t He? I have an interesting summer coming up as my last day of my 16 year job is June 29th. It wasn’t my plan, and leaving 4 years earlier than I planned. It is a deep time of trust and learning as I take some time to see what He has next for me (and not rush due to anxiety, panic, and taking control)! I’ll be able to move forward with my blog & writing this summer now, and you’ll be in my prayers as you move into a new place too! Hugs!
