Hope for Weary Hearts at Christmas and Always

Mary’s faith awes me. Though afraid, she willingly gave herself into God’s hands. But even more amazing is the infinitely greater willingness of Jesus to be born into this world. WITH us. FOR us. IN us. WITH GOD, NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE!

This is an edited poem from one I wrote 10 years ago:

❤️ Hope Is Alive by Ellie Holcomb

“Into our aching, into our breaking
Into our longing to be made whole
Your arms are reaching, Your love is holding us close
And into our suffering, into our weeping
Into this need we have to be known
Your arms are reaching, Your love is holding us close

So sing with the Angels that filled up the sky
Those in the shadows have seen a great light
He is right here among us
Our God is with us tonight
And hope is alive
Hope is alive.”

❤️ Light of the World by Lauren Daigle

“The world waits for a miracle
The heart longs for a little bit of hope
Oh come, Oh come Emmanuel…”

❤️ The Promise Has Come by Risen Tunes

“…The promise has come.
Jesus our hope.
Emmanuel, God with us.
We’re not alone…”

Is your heart aching? Are you grieving from a devastating loss of some kind? Is your heart weary of all the chaos and injustice in this world? Are you yourself a target of abuse and injustice? Are you feeling depressed, rejected, insignificant, or worthless? This time of the year can be extra difficult for many for a variety of reasons. God knows and cares about what you’re dealing with. He knows the deepest hurts of your heart. May He fill your weary hearts with HOPE and LOVE and PEACE in whatever season of life you are in.

May we truly trust Him with all our heart and soul! Thank you for your Christmas blessings! Love and blessings of His life, light, and love wrapping you and your loved ones this Christmas and always!

Not only the post but the song The Promise Has Come has now played over and over. Thank you, thank you for sharing your heart both in word and song. May the Lord bless you as you have blessed me!
