Unwrapping God’s Gifts of Love

purpose

Dear Jesus,

Sometimes a gloom overtakes my mind,
And each day becomes a trudging,
Not a joyous day to be alive.

You give me each day
As a newly wrapped gift
To be opened and enjoyed.

Lord, please help me
To treat each day as a gift,
Not as a drudgery.

Please help me to rejoice
In Your gifts of each day
And each promise You give.

Godwhispers

My Beloved Child,

Yes, each day I give you
Is a gift to be cherished,
More time to fulfill the purpose
I have for you on this earth,
The purpose especially meant
For you and no one else.
Just thank Me
Even when you don’t feel it,
And dance even when your heart is heavy.

And remember always
I suffered so much more,
I even died for you,
I joyfully carried out
The will of My Father
With all My heart,
Because I love you so much,
And that gift of love
Is for you, My cherished one.

Promises
by Sanctus Real

“Sometimes it’s hard to keep believing in what you can’t see
That everything happens for a reason even the worst life brings
If you’re reaching for an answer and you don’t know what to pray
Just open up the pages, let His Word be your strength

And hold on to the promises (hold tight)
Hold on to the promises (all right)
Jesus is alive, so hold tight
Hold on to the promises”

Move
by Mercy Me

“When life won’t play along
And right keeps going wrong
And I can’t seem to find my way
I know where I am found
So I won’t let it drag me down
Oh, I’ll keep dancing anyway”

Praying our hearts will open up the Precious Gift of Jesus’ Love!

    1. Thank you, Sarah. Thanking Him even when we don’t feel it. Words I have to remind myself every day. So often we can be stuck in struggles that it’s so hard to remember what we do have yet, isn’t it? Blessings to you! 💗

  1. Love your honest prayer, and the fact that we can be 100% open to Jesus! Just stopping in for coffee from Holleys linkup 🙂

  2. Just keep dancing. That’s encouragement we need to give each other often. I appreciate the gentle nudge today, Trudy. The Lord is always such a willing partner, even when we’re reluctant or step on his toes.

    1. I’m so glad you were encouraged, Lisa. It’s a hard thing to do when our hearts are heavy, isn’t it? But oh, how patient and loving our Lord is, no matter how many times we step on His toes! Praying for dances with Jesus! 💗

  3. HI Trudy! 🙂
I’ve been choosing to dance with a heavy heart lately. I know he is with me and I know the more I choose HIm the more victory there will be!
Love BOTH of those songs too! 😉

    1. Hi Krista! I’ve been thinking of you with the loss of your friend, especially in that way. All the shouldas and couldas taunting you. But know for sure that you did the best you could. It’s so hard to dance with a heavy heart, isn’t it? Let’s together do that victory dance. 🙂 Praying for strength, healing, and peace for you! Hugs back to you! 💗

  4. “I just might bend but I won’t break” ~ Amen!! Such truth and beauty in your honest prayer and its reply, in these lovely encouraging songs and in your shining love for God in the midst of adversity. Thank you, Trudy, for making my day lighter and causing me to dance on the inside as I read and listened hard here. Bless you, dear one. *Hugs* xox 🙂

    1. Hi Joy! I’m so glad you were encouraged. You have encouraged me as well by reminding me again of that lyric. Yes, Jesus will never let us break! I am thinking how uncomfortable the bending will be, because we have to be bent towards His will, not our own. It’s such a blessing that we may encourage each other not to let adversities drag us down but to keep dancing in our hearts in spite of heaviness. Hugs to you, too! 💗

  5. Hi Trudy! I love the conversation between you and God here. He always speaks with such love and gentleness, don’t you think? Always drawing us back, always setting us back on our feet. I just love this!
And what speaks louder than music sometimes? I do like Mercy Me a lot, so it was fun to listen to the video.
Everything happens for a reason…and yet sometimes it’s so hard to find that reason. Then I grope in the dark and wait for trust to turn on the lights. God help me to always trust!
    Blessings,

    1. Thank you, Ceil. Yes, I do believe he always speaks with love and gentleness. 🙂

“Then I grope in the dark and wait for trust to turn on the lights.” Me, too! I always like to know the reason, but I have to learn to trust His reason is always for our good. Joining you in the prayer – “God help me to always trust!” Blessings to you, too! 💗

    1. I’m so glad you were encouraged, Michelle. It’ hard to dance when our hearts are heavy, but it’s much easier when we can turn over that load to Him, isn’t it? To just trust that He has all things under His control to prosper us and not to harm us. Blessings to you! 💗
