“On The Throne”
by Kari Jobe
“For the Lord is
He is able, He is faithful
Higher than the mountains that I face
Every season, I will press on
For God alone, is on the throne…”
ABCs of Jesus’ Love
Visit this page anytime and let me know if you’d like to add to the words describing Jesus’ love along with a verse supporting it. Remember, there is also a print-out of the original list.
Another verse about Jesus’ Love:
❤ Marvelous Love ❤
“And I pray that Christ will be
more and more at home in your hearts,
living within you as you trust in Him.
May your roots go down deep
into the soil of God’s marvelous love. “
Ephesians 3:17 TLB
Books
I am not always able to keep up with the abundance of books that promote hope, healing, and freedom, so I haven’t always read every one I post here and on the Books Page. Though many are on my long wish list. 🙂 Many will be from recommendations of online friends. If you ever know of a book that is not listed and that supports this website’s mission, please let me know. 🙂
The Furious Longing of God
by Brennan Manning
“Imagine a stormy day at sea, your ship yielding to a relentless wind, pummeled by crashing waves, subject to the awesome force of nature. A force that is both fierce and majestic. A power that is nothing short of furious.
Such is God’s intense, consuming love for His children. It’s a love that knows no limits, and no boundaries. A love that will go to any lengths, and take any risks, to pursue us.
Renowned author and ragamuffin Brennan Manning presents a love story for the brokenhearted. For those who are burdened by heavy religion. For those who feel they can never measure up. It is a provocative and poignant look at the radical, no-holds-barred love of our Heavenly Father. It is a message that will forever change how you view God.” (Amazon Book Review)

💞 The Truth About You by Lesley – “It can be easier sometimes to present an image of who we would like to be or who we feel others want us to be, instead of living authentically as who we really are.” Lesley shares several truths of who we are in Jesus along with Bible verses that confirm them.
💞 Who God Says You Are: 17 Scriptures About Our Identity by Michelle Bengston – “Throughout my life, the enemy has whispered labels in my ear that I began to identify with and call myself. You’ve probably done that occasionally too.” Michelle shares the negative labels we sometimes identify ourselves with and continues with “but God says..” and proves it with a Scripture verse of the truth of our true identity in God.
💞 Only His Wounds Can Heal Us: Breaking Free from Self-Harm by Emma Scrivener – “As contradictory as it might sound, for the self-harmer, self-harm is self-help. So if we’re going to overcome self-harm, we need to embrace the help that God has given us elsewhere — help that does not scar us any further, but slowly begins to heal us.”

Thank you, Martha. May your week be blessed, too! May God give you strength through the adjustments of not being a caretaker for Mimi any longer. Such a wonderful offer of love you gave her! Again, I’m sorry for your loss. May we lean into Jesus for daily strength and peace!

Oh my, that deer…! And I’m fearful of clicking on the nature webcams link as I will get lost for hours! I’d love one day to just be in nature constantly taking photos and videos (and preferably where the temperature is milder). 🙂 Thanks for sharing all these articles, links, song and photos Trudy. I real blessing to my day.

I’m so glad you were blessed, Lynn. I am awed by that deer, too! Since my brother retired, he is happy to spend more time with his love of nature and taking photos. I’m so glad he shares them. 🙂 I love your nature photos, too! And yes, you could easily get lost for hours in the nature webcams. I was excited to find it, but I do have to limit my time there. 🙂 Whether viewing from indoors or being physically in nature, may we always be in awe of the Creator who is in control of everything!

Dear Trudy,
Thank you so much for the beautiful song from Kari Jobe, I am weeping now. And then to think that magnificent mighty One would come to us, and to make our feet like hind’s feet. That photo of the mountain goat (or bighorn sheep?) on the edge of that narrow mountain path is just stunning! Thank you for always touching my heart with your sharing. Blessings and love to you my friend!

I’m so grateful your heart is touched with hope and comfort, Bettie. Thank you for sharing how the Mighty One makes our feet like hind’s feet. Thank you for such an encouraging reminder! It truly is a wonder that He freely and joyously gives us His powerful strength and securely guides our feet. Blessings and love to you, too! In the midst of all our struggles, may we remember that through His promise and power, we will overcome!

What a soul exhale place you provide here, Trudy! I especially love your brother’s superb images, the helpful and hopeful articles and the quotes about hope. There is beauty everywhere, just waiting to be found. It’s in all of us and even in the worst of circumstances, if only we would focus on it, as Anne Frank says above. And it’s so good to remind ourselves that “God is higher than the mountains” we might face, as Kari Jobe sings. Once again, you have excelled yourself with these excellent resources, all pointing the way to the eternal Hope we have in Christ. Thank you! Sending blessings, love and grateful hugs. xo ❤

May we keep reminding ourselves that God is higher than any mountain we face and there is still beauty in the midst of all the misery in this world!

Thank you, Jeanne. I need those reminders to keep an accurate perspective on life, too. I easily look at the misery in life, but like Anne Frank, I need to look more at the beauty. I’m so glad you find hope here. Love and blessings to you, too! I hope your son soon recovers and no one else in your family gets Influenza A. May the eyes of our hearts open wide to the beauty of Christ and His love!
